The copies of this film are left over from the last Windsor Mountain School Lenox Reunion. Across Time and Space is the story of the schools founded by the Bondy's and the different schools evolution from the early 1900's to the present time. The trials and struggles faced by Dr's Max and Gertrud Bondy and their children after them as they strived to instill their view of eduction and it's role in the world around us. Both relevant as a history of the struggle of progressive education during the rise of Nazi Germany in Europe and the social fabric of segregation and anti-semitism that was prevalent during the mid 1900's in America. Today two of the schools founded by this remarkable family still survive, one here in America and one in Germany. People interested in both history and education should find this film a fascinating glimpse at the 1900's and the development of progressive education and the relevance still found in these ideas. The Windsor Mountain School of Lenox, Mass closed after the 1975 school year and the vast majority of the records of her alumni were destroyed in a fire several years after the closing. Many of the alumni have been located but many are still to be found. The proceeds of this offering will be used to fund further search efforts to add to our directory the contact information for aproxamitely 1000 of our brothers and sisters still unlocated. If you are interested in purchasing a copy please contact Dave Beller at dbellbsa2@yahoo.com. The price of this DVD is $19.95.
